about

"Fame" is a spoof track based on the glitz and glamor, plastic surgery, TMZ type of Hollywood and the horrible realities of the celebrity lifestyle, one that I never hope to accomplish.

The sample is obviously re:created from the song "Fame" by Irene Cara with Rush so elegantly covering the original vocals on another one of those wine induced studio sessions...she's gonna kill me for this.

This song is actually 6 years old and recorded long before that horrible remake of the original film and has nothing to do with it.

Please enjoy

lyrics

Finally I’ve got fifteen minutes
First be heard next my face mixed in it
Expressionless bo tox face lift plastic
Nose job drastic not yet finished

All I need now is a driver and pilot
A new attitude new do to style it
A manager an agent head shot stylist
I could use a scandal paparazzi high list

Celebrity pamper me dare the red carpet
Edgy dangerous tabloid target
I stick strict to a low carb diet
The glam life lime light it crowd market

Image is a terrible thing to waste
So I stay up in the latest in the wake of new taste
Top of the A list set a steady pace
So they race and they chase ‘til there’s bullets in my face

Publicity stunt step number one
Run in with the cops with some pot and a gun
Rotated every minute when on VH1
This is Hollywood son the land of been there and done

But I aint the one I’m steady building my name
I’ve got Writers, stylers, biters, and no shame
I am a marketing machine in this game
And I’m out for only one thing fame

Peoplemover, once just a side project of thirdy3rd, has now become a primary focus with a higher influence than just music.

While thirdy3rd is known for their unprecedented, futuristic digital, fast pace, electro hip hop sound, peoplemover can easily be classified as a close relative, yet formed of an organic and hifi analog complexity, fueled by fossil nostalgia of new and old grooves.
