satellite radio (feat. rush)

from re:produce by mattr.

about

this song incorporates some obvious samples such as Ramsey Lewis and Alford Ann but you might not hear Peter Shilling's "Major Tom" or The Headhunters "God Made Me Funky". rush makes a cameo appearance with her "satellite radio" vocal drops and completes the tone of the song. it's gritty, deep and distorted yet simple and raw.

i'm looking for someone to remix this track or produce a new version altogether to breathe new life into a song that was recorded in 2006. email me mrogers33@gmail.com and we'll talk.

lyrics

HOOK:
Satellite radio one two three
Satellite radio fall to the def
Satellite radio is now on air
Satellite radio fall to the def

Satellite radio one two three
Satellite radio fall to the def
Satellite radio all hail Braille
Satellite radio fall to the def

VERSE 1:

Foot prints fossilize granite
Every step that I may take embedded in the planet
I march so you can see the gamut
Outer range telescope satellite commanded

It’s water guzzle down pure
Unadulterated plated puzzle the obscure
The world needs a cure with some fresh produce
Vinyl junkie microphones dungeon plagued sewer

Sound effect check blown headphone wreck
Drum and bass air wave don’t sweat the tech
Redirect the intellect drag analog cassette
Elevated tape deck digi-catalog set

Low tones minor electric diner food
Synthesize earth live thirdy3rd zoo
With a fresh start I must introduce those
Reproduce on satellite radio

HOOK)

VERSE 2:

Blank media to write override brain
Memory won’t exist over time frame
Minimal gigabyte live it right now
Permanent empty file watch it rinse from the main

Frame uncontained a vision full of thought
A handful of nothing proving all of which what you brought
Stained by the rot maintained by the shock
Retain it by the way in of a vein without a shot

The blood runs thick but the water runs dry
Paper thin creative mind tunnel televised
The video is why the radio has died
Not another day of tolerance goes by

The gates swing wide but only one way
And the only reason to keep em live well I got some things to say
Make way the audio has one breath left
Satellite radio fall to the def

peoplemover San Diego, California

Peoplemover, once just a side project of thirdy3rd, has now become a primary focus with a higher influence than just music.

While thirdy3rd is known for their unprecedented, futuristic digital, fast pace, electro hip hop sound, peoplemover can easily be classified as a close relative, yet formed of an organic and hifi analog complexity, fueled by fossil nostalgia of new and old grooves.
